Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 launching 30th September

Sony Ericsson has finally announced that XPERIA X1 would be launched on 30th Septmeber. The phone was earlier expected to be launched by the end of 2008 so its a very big news for all Sony Ericsson fans out there.

For those who don’t know much about this phone let me tell you that its a horizontal slider phonewhich is based on Windows Mobile 6.1 Opearting System which also makes it the first Sony Ericsson phone featuring Windows Mobile.

The phone has got three-inch *touchscreen* with a QWERTY keypad, the cool thing about its touchscreen is that it slides out in an arc. That is something new !

Alright, so this phone has got a 3.2 megapixel camera and it records video in 640×480 resolution in VGA quality at the rate of 30 frames per second, so cool. It has also got a front facing camera for videoconferencing.

This phone has got almost every connectivity option you could think of:
mini-USB; wireless LAN 802.11b/g; Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, FTP, and HID; EDGE; and quad-band GSM, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, and HSCSD

It has got 400MB internal memory which can be expanded upto 16GB using microSD cards.

So, that all I have got for you for now on this super-cool mobile phone by Sony Ericsson, would come up with much more once its out of the box.
